I am a nature based artist, raised outdoors with parents in the marine industry, water became a constant. Fascinated as a child, I now recognize how nature ignites me.

Repurposing is an important part of my process, either inspiring or reutilizing.  Knowing nature as my refuge, I value honoring the earth in many ways.  

My past formal training in painting and love for sculptural building was synced years ago when I found encaustic. Beeswax and tree resin gave me many dimensions of exploration and natural elemental qualities. Its misty air and water luminosity, speaks nature and is from nature. Encaustic is a large part of my studio practice and body of work. Incorporating different mediums specifically oil, acrylic, wood and stone fosters my engagement, stimulates my thought process and cultivates my authentic voice. I hope to interest the viewer by conveying a certain connection to our natural world.  I believe in the strength and beauty of simplicity with the authentic story and energy of an object, we all have nature in common.
